Well.. you are in luck. Introducing a great gadget by the name of Slingbox. It will do exactly that.

Ok I must admit ive been playing with Joost. Initial impressions are positive.

The concept is different to other ideas such as You Tube. The content is not provided by users but by Joost themself. They have managed to sign up some big names such as National Geographic and Fifth Gear. Unfortunately at this stage the amount of channels isnt huge although enough to evaluate the product. Id like to see more movies etc.

The quality of the picture and sound is impressive. I also like the facility that allows you to search for any program you want to watch. Again at this stage their isnt enough content to make this viable.

Hi ladies and gentleman. I must apologise for not updating my blog. Ive been working extremely long hours lately and havent had a chance for any reviews.

Today I received a response from Joost - Finally inviting me to beta test their fantastic new product.

Basically Joost is the future of TV. Its an IP based TV software system delivered over the internet. What Kazaa did to music distribution and Skype did to telephony, Joost wants to do for TV.

Im currently installing the software and will have a play. Ill update you folks once Ive done that.. Looking forward to playing with my new toy..

I love movies.. But the problem with video stored on your hard disk is viewing it. I hate viewing mpeg, divx, xvid, avi videos on a monitor. Videos need to be on a big widescreen TV to fully appreciate them.

So whats the dream solution?. A box that connects to your wireless LAN that will enable you to connect to shared drives on your PC and stream video direct to your TV. No more cables, no more burning Cd’s..
